The Group owns Speedo, Berghaus, Canterbury of New Zealand, Endura, Boxfresh, Ellesse, Red or Dead, Seaves and Mitre. It’s also the UK footwear licensee for Kickers and has a joint venture partnership for Lacoste footwear. The Group also holds interests directly and indirectly, through fund managers, in activities and businesses operating in sectors outside of its core trading activities, to provide the Group with an element of diversification.

A disappointed regular customer shares her experience on amazon.com, "I'm a regular and serious swimmer and I was shocked at how fast this suit wore out. I had assumed it was similar to Speedo's Endurance fabric - not at all! After six months of swimming 3x per week and taking really good care of it, it is a floppy rag and the fabric is wearing very badly. I'm disappointed. speedo seems to have really reduced the quality of their suits :( will not be buying this again even tho I loved the fit at first as well as the simplicity."

The returner rate of women after maternity leave is laughably poor. The practically all-male Executive are so distant from their female consumers that their product, sales and marketing decisions are out of step with the market."

"I worked at Pentland Brands full-time Cons: shame that pentland has changed so quickly into a company where the family values have been discarded & the culture has changed into one where back biting & bullying is rife. your length of service will have a direct correlation to who has your back. endless good people disappearing whether is their decision or not. absolute inability to make decisions because all roots lead to exec level gatekeepers some of whom are very inexperienced. cronyism & protection is common at this C level. unrealistic sales & profit targets are the norm. never has such a level of disorganisation and disgruntlement been seen in the company & visionary leadership on the exec has disappeared, a plea for the return of both andys. have a look at the glassdoor reviews, this isn’t the company it once was. it is not a great place to work."
